Michael Scotto: Looking forward to the offseason, Detroit might have as much as $60 million in cap area if they refuse Evan Fournier’s group choice and let Troy Brown go. Everybody desires them to do what the Houston Rockets did final summer time and spend all of their out there cap area. From what I’ve heard, plan A is to not go the Houston route and spend all the cash they’ve in free company. There’s a risk that Detroit will attempt to signal a free agent like Tobias Harris or Miles Bridges, two guys who will definitely be on their radar heading into the offseason, after which use the remaining cap area to doubtlessly purchase a participant in a commerce. Whether or not it’s Detroit or different groups across the league, they’re all maintaining a tally of playoff groups that aren’t performing as much as par and will make a transfer to shake issues up, or a star participant on a type of groups turns into disgruntled and needs out. -via HoopsHype / April 22, 2024
